Forging (Metal Forge, Forged Steel)

Forging is a manufacturing process involving the shaping of metal using localized compressive forces. The blows are delivered with a hammer (often a power hammer) or a die. Forging is often classified according to the temperature at which it is performed: cold forging (a type of cold working), warm forging, or hot forging (a type of hot working).

Feature:

The forging process can create parts that are stronger than those manufactured by any other metalworking process. This is why forgings are almost always used in components where safety is fundamental, for instance, in planes, cars, tractors, boats, oil drilling equipment, motors and other industrial machinery.

So when your application requires reliability (longer fatigue life), repeatability of mechanical properties (clean steel with beneficial grain flow), and the ability to perform in adverse conditions, a forged part is with no doubt the choice.
